Santa Fe New Mexico is magical! This high plains desert is rich in history and wide open spaces. I spent 3 quiet days on the top of a large hill, outside of Sante Fe. I rented a house and walked my French Easel to the top of the hill every morning.  Best way to spend a vacation, if you ask me! Nothing but the air and clouds and the heat.
