Steamboat Springs is worth the drive from Denver. I love that it is quiet and feels like a small town. Even though Steamboat is growing fast, I can still have a chat with a local rancher in town or at the hot springs. This town gets A LOT of snow and amazingly, the city streets plowed by noon. I was there last January when they got over 4' of new snow and even the walking paths and side streets plowed, the sun dried what was left and the town was business as usual.
