This commission was done for Colorado Analytic Labs. They test water all over the state of Colorado and they happen to have a view of Long's Peak from their lab. I visited the lab and got to know what the company wished for. With lots of reference photos, I sketched out a plan for this 22"x60" painting and continued to discuss options for composition, color palette and the like. I kept the client posted from my studio, via text message photos and occasional studio visits. It was a good experience - a good balance between skills that are in my wheelhouse and new challenges.
